Welcome to Matlock Meadows Ice Cream Parlour and coffee shop. Visit our brand new, purpose built Ice Cream Parlour, which is tucked away in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales countryside. You can sit in the Ice Cream Parlour and enjoy our real dairy ice cream freshly made on the farm, using the milk from our own cows, which you may see grazing in the nearby fields. Our ice cream is made using the freshest locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and is available in a range of delicious flavours. It’s a great place for all the family to visit and taste our ice cream, ice cream sundaes, fruit sorbets, cakes and drinks. We also serve freshly made fair trade teas, coffees and a range of hot and cold snacks.

Visitors to Matlock Meadows can expect a warm welcome from the staff as well as pinky and porky our pet micro pigs. From the ice cream parlour visitors can also see the nearby cows, calves, chickens and rabbits.

Within the ice cream parlour we have a selection of giftware including Tractor Ted books and DVD’s; Siku, Ertl and Britains model tractors;  handmade purses, bags, jewellery and decorations; local produce – jams, marmalades, honey, chocolates and fudge.  Also selling a selection of locally produced sausages,burgers, mince and bacon from ‘A Pigs Tail Farm Shop’  at Alderwasley.   

Matlock meadows are able to accommodate group visits, farm tours and childrens birthday party packages – please email, ring or pop in for further details.  

Our Ice Cream Parlour is a new family business venture and is located within our real working dairy farm complex. Over the coming months our plans will progress to include building an indoor viewing gallery giving you the opportunity to see the animals, where they live and the milking parlour in operation.
